Department of Education

1. Choice Subjects

These are subjects that you can choose from, as prescribed and recognized by the Department of Education.

  • Official CAPS-aligned curriculum subjects
  • Core academic streams for primary and high school phases
  • Standard assessment and national certification pathways
Specialist Institutions

2. Stand-alone Subjects

These are subjects that are NOT offered by the Department of Education, but by external accredited institutions.

  • Specialized vocational, technical, or enrichment courses
  • Offered in partnership with third-party accredited institutions
  • Provides distinctive career preparation and skill certification
Should you choose any stand-alone subject, there will be an additional cost for parents.

We offer a comprehensive aptitude test at a cost of R350 to ensure that your child is properly guided, evaluated, and confident in making the correct subject choices for their future career aspirations.

All Grades Offering

Extra-Mural Activities & Sport — All Grades

We offer a wide variety of extra-mural activities and sports for learners in all grades.

Sports Include:

Netball, Athletics, Rugby, Soccer, and our more extraordinary offering — Fencing etc.

Building fitness, teamwork, stamina, and agility in a supportive and disciplined sporting atmosphere.

Other Extra-Mural Activities Include:

Chess, Art classes, Dancing, etc.

Nurturing intellectual focus, strategic thinking, fine artistic skills, rhythm, and self-expression.

Club Level & Specialist Instructors: As we are a small Academy, certain activities are offered at club level or require a specialist instructor to be brought in (e.g. chess and art classes). For these activities, an additional fee will be payable. We will always negotiate the best possible price for our learners.

If your child has a talent for dancing, chess, or any sport, we would love to encourage their participation. A healthy balance between academics and extra-mural activities is so important — it is a well-balanced, grounded child that usually performs well.
